SMTP

This articles covers how to set-up Gravity Geeks SMTP add-ons.

Current SMTP add-ons:

There are currently 5 available options in each of our SMTP add-ons. Which are:

  1. SMTP Endpoint

  2. SMTP Username

  3. From Name

  4. Port

  5. Protocol

SMTP Endpoints

Each SMTP platform has different SMTP Endpoints. Below is a quick list for each platform.

Please Note: If you are a developer and have created a custom SMTP endpoint, you can enter it in the SMTP endpoint input.

Amazon: US East (N. Virginia) is email-smtp.us-east-1.amazonaws.com

Amazon: US West (Oregon) is email-smtp.us-west-2.amazonaws.com

Amazon: Europe (Ireland) is email-smtp.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com

Amazon: Asia Pacific (Mumbai) is email-smtp.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com

Amazon: Asia Pacific (Tokyo) is email-smtp.ap-northeast-1.amazonaws.com

Postmark: SMTP Endpoint: smtp.postmarkapp.com

SendGrid: SMTP Endpoint: smtp.sendgrid.net

Sendinblue (Now Brevo): SMTP Endpoint: smtp-relay.brevo.com

Mailgun: US is smtp.mailgun.org

Mailgun: EU is smtp.eu.mailgun.org

ElasticEmail: SMTP Endpoint is smtp.elasticemail.com

MailerSend: SMTP Endpoint is smtp.mailersend.net

Zeptomail: US is smtp.zeptomail.com

Zeptomail: EU is smtp.eu.zeptomail.com

Mailjet: SMTP Endpoint is in-v3.mailjet.com

Mailtrap: SMTP Endpoint is smtp.mailtrap.io

From Name

The From Name entered here will apply to all outgoing emails site wide. It is appended to the from email address when viewing the sender details. For example: From Name <email@site.com>

Port

There are generally three available options for the Port option and occasionally a fourth. They are

2587, 587, 465, and 25. It is generally recommended to select the 587 option for WordPress installs.

Protocol

The protocol field offers two available options which are SSL and TLS. As of not for WordPress options it is generally recommended to select the TLS option.

Please Note: We have tested all SMTP add-ons on fresh default WordPress installs with the port 587 and TLS protocol. If you are experiencing issues, you may test other options or open a ticket with us directly.
